Living in the United States, we are truly blessed and tend to take many things for granted. By comparison, less than an hour south of us – in Northern Baja, Mexico – many people cannot even count on the basic necessities of life. Over the years, Ruckle Construction has had the opportunity to help by donating time and materials on several construction projects in the greater Tijuana area.

On one recent project we poured a new concrete floor – replacing the bare dirt floor – for one of the ubiquitous "Garage Door" houses in Baja, dramatically improving the quality of life for a young family. On another project we constructed a 1600 sq. ft. Church and Community Center, which is used for feeding children of single parent families who don’t have childcare during the day. It is common for these children to be left alone during the day, while their mother goes out to work.
